President Putin visits new radar station near St. Petersburg (13/8/2007)


President Vladimir Putin inspected Saturday the new Voronezh-type anti-missile radar station recently built near St. Petersburg.


The Voronezh-type meter-band early warning radar station in the Leningrad Region.


Putin, who attended a session on the development of the aviation engines industry, said he hoped the Defense Ministry would ensure the unconditional implementation of all plans for the modernization of the Russian Army and Navy.
