UMS Skeldar Delivers Skeldar V-200 to Indonesia 16 Februari 2017 UMS Skeldar V-200 Vertical Take-off and Landing UAV (photo : Aviation News) UMS Skeldar has completed delivery and acceptance tests for Indonesia of the heavy fuel SKELDAR V-200 Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The company announced today its working partnership and the commencement of a training programme contract with the Indonesian Ministry of Defence (MoD).  The MoD deployed the SKELDAR V-200 as part of performance and acceptance tests during Q4 2016, paving the way for the procurement and pilot training in the country.  With some of the world’s second longest coastlines, the tests and patrol evaluations confirmed the multi-payload and low footprint of the SKELDAR V-200 across land and navy applications. Kongsberg Delivers Hugin AUV Training to Indonesian Navy 09 Februari 2017 Hugin AUV training to Indonesian Navy (photo : Kongsberg) Kongsberg Maritime’s Marine Robotics department has provided a three-week training of Hugin AUV systems set up on Indonesian Navy’s new survey ship program. The introduction training was conducted at a hotel in Central Jakarta, and the last week was at sea in Semangka Bay for practical training down to depths of 1000 metres. The training objectives for the crew before embarking for the sea trials ranged from system understanding to inertial navigation and advanced mission planning. “Language barriers made the training challenging,” says chief AUV instructor Stian Hopmark, “luckily, this was compensated for by the students having an extraordinary interest in the subjects and willingness to learn.” OCEA, the French shipbuilder that built and delivered the two survey ships has stated that they are very pleased with Kongsberg...

Russian Company Delivers Missile Test Monitoring Stations to Vietnam 11 Januari 2017 Sazhen-TA mobile missile test monitoring station (photos : Sputnik, TASS) Four Sazhen-TA mobile stations intended for visual measurements during missile armament tests were supplied and deployed in Vietnam by Russia’s NPK Precision Instrument-Making Systems, the company said on Jan 9. "Startup work was completed and four video theodolite posts 14Sh27 [Sazhen-TA mobile optical-electronic system] were put into service," the company said on its website. Russian specialists also trained Vietnam’s counterparts in equipment handling and participated in launches of observation targets. Sazhen-TA mobile system for outer trajectory measurements provides for measurements of the range and angular coordinates of targets in visible and IR bands and for recording of target flight phases.
