Fourth A400M Arrived in Subang 15 Maret 2017 RMAF Atlas M5-04 (photo : Santi Bianquez) Fourth A400M Safely Home SHAH ALAM: The fourth and final Airbus A400M Atlas air lifter touched down at Subang this morning, culminating a contract signed 16 years ago. Atlas M54-04 arrived following a two-day ferry flight from Seville, Spain, where the A400M Final Assembly Line is located. Although Airbus has said that the 04 will be in the latest tactical configuration, it was hard to distinguish her from the other three already in service with 22 Squadron. Perhaps a closer inspection after her official unveiling at LIMA 17, next week, will give us the heads up on her differences with the other three Atlases. As of now, RMAF is not saying anything about 04 let alone her capabilities. 22 Squadron received its first A400M in March 2015, the second late in the same year and the third last June. 01 is now in Seville, Spain undergoing upgrading on the Airbus expense. Pada Senin, 6 Maret 2017, pesawat A400M sudah melakukan promosi dengan singgah di Bandara Halim Perdanakusuma untuk diperkenalkan kepada calon pembeli di Indonesia, yaitu TNI Angkatan Udara (AU). Airbus Dispatches A400M to Indonesia in Showcase of Platform"s Capabilities 03 Maret 2017 Airbus A400M airlifter (photo : jaalmarza) Airbus is currently in the process of flying out an A400M Atlas multirole aircraft to Indonesia in a showcase of the platform"s capabilities, sources within the Indonesian Armed Forces (Tentara Nasional Indonesia: TNI) has confirmed with Jane"s on 1 March. The aircraft will be landing at the Indonesian Air Force"s (TNI-AU"s) Halim Perdanakusuma base near South Jakarta, where guided tours of the platform"s features will be given to senior military and government officials on 6 March. The A400M is currently a front runner in Jakarta"s bid to improve its military airlift capabilities. A400M "ATLAS" Demonstrated to NZ Air Force 02 Maret 2017 RAF A400M (photos : 70 squadron) A glorious day in Wellington, New Zealand, provided the perfect backdrop for the RAF to show-off the Airbus A400M ‘Atlas’ to the Royal New Zealand Air Force as part of a prestigious partnership between the two nations. The A400M, based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire is the newest aircraft in the RAF’s fleet. It boasts cutting edge technology, combined with sheer brute strength to make it a formidable strategic and tactical air lift platform. Able to deploy globally, it specialises in carrying over-sized loads and can transport a load of 25 tonnes over a range of 2,000 nautical miles. The A400M combines huge lifting power with agility, with manoeuvrability akin to a fast-jet rather than an Air Transport Aircraft. The First A400M of the RMAF Undergoes Retrofit in Spain 31 Januari 2017 Propeller of the A400M M54-01 (photo : avgeekmy) After a long transcontinental trip, on January 16, 2017 the first A400M of the RMAF (M54-01) landing in Spain. Airbus Defense and Space (DS) was officially delivered this aircraft on 10 January 2015 to the Royal Malaysian Air Force at the San Pablo plant in Seville. The M54-01 landed at the airport of Getafe (Madrid), next to the Airbus plant, and would have to undergone the retrofit of its propeller, would solve the problem detected in gearboxes or the Engine Propeller Gearboxes, that build by the Italian company Avio Aero, a subsidiary company of the North American General Electrics. Malaysian A400m will undergo retrofit in Getafe, Madrid.
